December 15 - Day Plus 10

Another good day with improving numbers. I'm hoping to be able to go home within a few days. Can't wait! I have a pretty crappy appetite these days, but I think it is because of the precautionary antibiotic they've been giving me. I think I stop taking it tomorrow because they're starting to wind down my meds.

It was a really boring day today. Only Division II college football on TV. One of the teams in the playoffs wears a uniform very close, if not identical, to Michigan's. That's strikes me as appropriate after this season.

Thank goodness for TNT movies today - watched Gladiator (again), Cinderella Man (again), and Lord of the Rings - the Two Towers (again).

Hopefully home soon.

Thanks for checking in.

Hi Al-

So glad that you are feeling even better today. I was so happy to talk to you on the phone yesterday and hear your voice - you sounded great. I am confident that your counts will continue to rise and you will be going home in no time.
It is snowing like crazy right now so it will definately look like Christmas when you get out. I look forward to reading your blog everyday - haven't missed it once.
It is great to be able to keep up on how you are feeling and inform all of the people who are asking (LOTS of people)-THANKS!!!
Looking forward to seeing you soon!
Love you - Kim, and the boys too!

Return of the King was the best! I'll have TNT put that on for you today. Come to think of it I'll just have them throw Fellowship of the Ring on at about 11 am, ok? ;-)

Big bacheegs! :-)

Hey, from one hospital bed to another--greetings! So glad to hear things are improving awesome! Hoping and praying you get out soon.

Hey, funny on the helmet thing, I saw that too and I was annoyed. I don't even like Michigan and I was annoyed with the look alike. Seems like it should be illegal.

Glad you are eating, glad someone is bringing you food...I had rice and some form of jello today-not very good.

Hang in there, "Team Alex" is cheering for you!!

Hi Al,

Stir craziness and boredom are defintely a good sign. Improving numbers are even better.

Looking forward to you getting sprung from the joint in time for Christmas and on your road to a full recovery. A fresh start with the new year is right around the corner.

Sorry to just be reviewing the blog this late in the day. Had more to do with knowing there would be no Price Is Right update on a weekend than it did with the snow.

Keeping the prayers coming your way every day. Talk to you soon.

Hi Al,

We are so happy to hear that the numbers are up and the fever is down! Hang in there - you're almost home!

By the way - you're a great writer - so much "voice" - an excellent example of personal memoir for my students! Think about publishing!

Thinking of you,
Annette and Vasken

G,
Believe it or not, this is the first time I looked at your "blog". It's really nice. I should've looked sooner, instead of calling/texting you all the time. I'll keep it clean since I can't send anonymous comments. See you at home this week (fingers crossed). I'm looking forward to visiting you at home.....when you're not wearing your shoes in bed!!!

Love ya man,
G
